Diesel Locomotives at the Oregon Electric Railway Museum

This 25-ton diesel locomotive was built by General Electric in 1942 for the United States Army. It was purchased by Dick Samuels in 1993 for use on his SamTrak excursion train on his Oregon Pacific Railroad between the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry and Oaks Amusement Park in Portland, Oregon. SamTrak service ended in 2002, and the locomotive was stored at the Oregon Pacific shops in Milwaukie, Oregon. In 2005, Dick Samuels donated the locomotive and a small open passenger car from his SamTrak operation to the OERHS.

This is a 25-ton diesel locomotive built by General Electric. It was previously owned by Salmon Bay Steel in Seattle, Washington.

This is a 10-ton diesel locomotive built by the Davenport Locomotive Works of Davenport, Iowa. It is powered by a Caterpillar engine, It was previously owned by the Oeser Company, a wood pole manufacturing company.
