Ford Trucks at the Pacific Northwest Truck Museum

This 1924 Ford Model TT Flatbed Truck was used at a lumberyard in Havre, Montana.

Rich Nilles bought the truck in 1986, restored it in his garage, and displayed it at his FarmGro Supply in Newberg, Oregon in 1989. He later donated it to the museum.

This 1924 Ford Model TT 1-ton Delivery Huckster with a 4-cylinder engine has unique features like an auxiliary Warford transmission with an extra low gear and overdrive, and a steering-wheel mounted throttle. It was originally owned and driven by Fred Meyer to make deliveries.

In 1935 Gerald Risberg quit his job as a Fred Meyer shipping clerk and purchased this truck from Fred Meyer for $50, forming Risberg Truck Lines and signing a contract to haul freight for Fred Meyer. It was donated by Gerald Risberg.

The Ford Model T Pickup was identical to the Model T car except the for the tiny pickup bed instead of a back seat. It featured a top which could be put down or removed but no roll-up windows.

The truck was restored by Portland Paving employee Bob Clark and was donated by Portland Paving Company.

This 1938 Ford Tractor is an example of the first cab-over-engine trucks, introduced by Ford in that year. They were mechanically identical to Ford's conventional trucks, but were easier to maneuver in city streets. This truck is powered by an 85-horsepower Ford Flathead V8 with a 4-speed transmission, has a load capacity of 2 tons and cost $895 new.

The truck was donated by the McKensie River Corporation. The paint job dates to 1992 when the truck was used in a television commercial for Black Rock Brewing. It was adopted by the Columbia River Chapter of the Early Ford V-8 Club.

This 1945 Ford Stakebed Truck, powered by an 85-horsepower Flathead V8, was built during the last months of World War II and was purchased new by Colorado wheat farmer Orville Chapin who used it to haul wheat to the grainery 12 miles away and carry corn to the cattle.

When his windmill wouldn't pump, Chapin removed the sides from this truck and put on a 1,000 gallon water tank and left it in the field to provide water and a windbreak for the livestock.

Chapin's nephew, Jim Stoutsenberger, rescued the truck from a mound of grass in 1987. It had 18,000 miles on the odometer. It was donated by Daisy Stoutsenberger and adopted by the Columbia River Chapter of the Early Ford V8 Club.

This 1948 Ford F-3 Utility Bucket Truck was originally a Bell Telephone repair truck on the Oregon Coast. In the late 1950s or early 1960s it was sold to Lincoln T.V. System in Delake, Oregon. At that time, it's color was olive drab green. It was later purchased by Electric Corp., brought to the Willamette Valley and painted red.

In the mid 1960s, Walter A. Wulfers hired Electric Corp. to install street lights at his Sundial Mobile Home Park in Salem, Oregon, which was under construction, and the truck was used there. When Electric Corp. retired this truck in favor of hydraulic trucks, Wulfers bought it for $500, used it during construction and then stored it.

In 1994, Walter and his son Charles started restoring the truck. Walter passed away in 1996 and Charles continued working on the truck, completing it in 2006.

Charles drove the truck in Portland General Electric's Parade of Lights in Salem in 2006 and 2007, and it was used as a model for a Homestead Cards Christmas Card in 2008. In May 2009 he donated the truck to the Pacific Northwest Truck Museum.

This 1951 Ford F-6 Utility Truck was used by Pacific Utility Company. It carries a hydraulic drill and a Hall hydraulic derrick. The truck was donated by Roy Goecks.

This 1959 Ford F350 1-Ton Flatbed Truck is named Old Blue. It towed searchlights and lighting equipment for fairs, auto races, trade shows and movies. It was donated by Don and Norma Cameron.
