Pitts S-2B Special at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in 2001
The Pitts S-2B Special is the red biplane on the right.

The first Pitts Special was built in 1944. By the 1960s, Specials had become favorites of aerobatics pilots all over the world, including Captain Michael King Smith, who flew this Special at air shows.

This concludes my original content about the Evergreen Aviation Museum. However, my dad, who visited the museum with me, took pictures of a few planes that I didn’t. I didn’t include them on my original page, but have made posts for them here.
