The Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company was formed in 1901 by the merger of the Edward P. Allis Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the Fraser & Chalmers Company of Chicago, Illinois. It is indirectly named after Edward Phelps Allis and William J. Chalmers. The company starting making farm equipment in 1914. Pictured is a 1931 Allis-Chalmers 20-35 horsepower tractor owned by Bob Keil Arora and restored by Dave Dezotell of Corvallis.
