The Queen Anne/Stick style Hiram Baker House was built in 1895. The original owner of this house, Hiram Baker operated a nearby sawmill and served on the Santiam Academy board in 1905. A later owner of the house was Ed Bohle, who also owned much of the block to the west where he had his own dwelling. The Bohle Brothers operated a creamery on the site of Ralston Park that moved to Main Street in 1928. Dr. Joel Clarence Booth also owned this house at one time. The Hiram Baker House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 6, 1996.
