Multnomah Lodge #1 of the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons was chartered in Oregon City in 1846, becoming the first Masonic Lodge west of the Rocky Mountains.

Next to the Mason Lodge is a parking lot. The building on the other side of the parking lot features a mural depicting a scene on the Oregon Trail. The mural was a group effort led by Larry Kangas.
