9-11 Monument on September 5, 2005.
While the City of Rainier rebuilt Riverfront Park, this rock was installed with a plaque in memory of the events of September 11, 2001. I think the rock may be made of debris from the World Trade Center.
9-11 Monument on September 5, 2005.
I’m not quite sure why there is a 9-11 monument in Rainier’s Riverfront Park. Maybe the fact that it was donated by a nationwide funeral home operator, and has their logo on it no less, has something to do with it. There is an identical plaque located outside a funeral home in Milwaukie, Oregon.
