In 1927 a second floor was added for professional offices and the building was remodeled into its current Art Deco style. A.S. Keir retired in 1945 and his son Paul continued the drug store business until selling it in 1969. The Keir Drug Store closed in 1993 after 88 years. The building is now occupied by Parts + Labour and Frolik.

That really brings back childhood memories. I spent several summers as a young man at Paul and Nellie Keir's home just outside of Hood River. It is where I learned to drive, ride a horse, shoot a gun and work on the orchard.
