This building was built at a cost of $26,000 and opened on June 1, 1920 as the Highway Auto Company. Later it was called Twin Peaks Auto Company and Hood River Garage.

In the 1930s and 1940s, parts of the building were used as a grocery store, bowling alley and Greyhound station. It was remodeled into a mall in 1979.
