This building was built around 1908. It initially housed the offices for the local telephone company and a mortuary.

By the early 1920s, Earl Spaulding had started a tailor shop in the building and later established Spaulding Cleaning Shop and Laundry. It is now occupied by Apple Green House & Garden and Hood River Jewelers.
