The Dalles Garage on June 10, 2009
The Dalles Garage was built in 1920 by Catholic priest Father Nooy and Jack Frank and was the first of its kind in The Dalles. It originally had a gas pump island under the canopy. It was known as Lester's Garage in 1922 when the Columbia River Highway 30 was completed, running right in front of it. Later it was occupied by Pacific Power & Light and then General Auto Supply.
