John L. Thompson House on June 10, 2009
Blacksmith John L. Thompson arrived in The Dalles from Boston in 1869 and built this Victorian Queen Anne Eastlake house from 1889-1897. It was a family home until 1949 when it became a boarding house. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 6, 1980.
